It also supports temporary passwords (one-time and periodic) for secure sharing and includes mechanical keys for emergencies. (Only the administrator's fingerprint or password can reset the lock after it is added to the Aqara Home app.)

The keypad also supports 1.5V AAA batteries and can be hardwired for power*. Designed for durability, the lock operates in temperatures from -15°C to 66°C, and the keypad is IPX5-rated for outdoor use.

An emergency backup is always available with the metal key, to be used in case of battery failure or drain.
